  • A Quality Technician ensures products meet quality standards by inspecting, testing, and documenting findings. They play a crucial role in preventing defective products from reaching consumers and contributes to continuous improvement efforts. Quality Technicians require a specific set of skills to efficiently and effectively meet the demands of their role. These skills range from technical abilities to communication skills along with problem-solving techniques. 

  • Responsible for Quality Technician                                                                 
    • Accurately complete inspection forms, logs, records and check sheets in any format
    • Engage with engineering organization during the development phase of training to ensure a timely transition.
    • Train to level I technicians in Penetrant and X-ray. (experience would be a Plus, but not mandatory)
    • Properly examine parts by using hand held measuring tools and gauges. (gauge pins, micrometers, calipers, and go/no go gauges)
    • Under limited supervision, performs non-destructive test on precision parts
    • Performing tasks using the methods, process parts, interpret, evaluate and document test results in accordance with NDT procedures
    • Completes computer and paperwork transactions required to forward product to complete the manufacturing process
    • Will adhere to all quality and safety standards and demonstrate a strong focus on customer satisfaction
    • Set up and operate non-destructive testing equipment to locate and measure internal and external defects in product

    • Knowledge of Computer and Manufacturing Software

    • Must have the ability to read process sheet instructions and carry out directions as necessary                 
    • Able to work with minimum supervision

    • Organizational Skills                                                                                   
    • Positive Attitude
    • High School Degree or equivalent 
    • Understand Liquid Penetrant Testing and Radiography (experience a plus but not mandatory)
    • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English
    • Able to interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and prepare written reports of test results
    • Quality Inspection methods 1yr Minimum.
